Jonathan Roland: Full Stack Developer

I create bespoke applications for unique problem spaces

My Background

Hi, I'm Jonathan. I also go by Jon. After completing an enlistment in the United States Marine Corps in 2012, I started seeking my next journey in life. While sampling classes at community college, I became fascinated with the challenge and depth of programming. I completed my A.A.S. in CIT/Programming at Pellissippi State Community College and began my professional path at Jewelry Television, where I got my start on custom Wordpress plugins to enable internal business processes. After 2.5 years at JTV, I returned to Pellissippi State as their staff Web Applications Programmer, where my Wordpress experience continues to grow. I am currently working towards a B.S. at Bellevue University, majoring in Web Development.

Outside of work I love hiking, cooking and playing guitar. I love music of all kinds. I'm a huge nerd for science fiction. I have a cat named Mushi, a long haired tortie rescue that defines the word 'tortietude'.
